Gynecological problem...?

so far, i have had two abnormal pap smear test results. because of this, i have to undergo a colposcopy. my gyno said that my pap smear test results were abnormal, but they were both boderline and that my HPV came back negative (at least the types that cause cervical cancer). what could be causing this abnormality?
